Kevin Bowyer, the Schubmehl-Prein Family Professor of Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, presents on his research project, "Automated Detection of 'Photoshopped' Face Images" to an interdisciplinary group of scholars, artists, and scientists comprised of fellows, guest faculty and students. His research interests touch on many aspects of computer vision and pattern recognition, including biometrics, data mining, object recognition, and medical image analysis.
 

Professor Bowyer received the 2017 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Biometrics Council Meritorious Service Award, and the 2014 IEEE Computer Society’s Technical Achievement Award for his "pioneering contributions to the science and engineering of biometrics."
 

Professor Bowyer is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Golden Core member of the IEEE Computer Society, and a past EIC of the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, and the IEEE Biometrics Compendium. He is serving as General Chair of the 2019 IEEE Winter Conference on Applications of Computer Vision.
