"The Public" Film Series: All the President's Men

All The President S Men Thumbnail Red Size

Join the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study (NDIAS) for All the President's Men, the second installment of the NDIAS's "The Public" Film Series.

Following a break-in at the Watergate Hotel, Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward (Robert Redford) and Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) investigate the cause of the burglary and uncover one of the greatest political scandals in American history. Adapted from Woodward and Bernstein’s book, this classic journalistic procedural film, which introduced the phrase “follow the money,” went on to earn eight Academy Award nominations.

A panel discussion and Q&A will follow the film featuring Carlos Lozada (2022-2023 NDIAS Practitioner in Residence, New York Times opinion columnist, and Pulitzer Prize winner), Jason Kelly (Interim Director of the Gallivan Program in Journalism, Ethics, and Democracy), and Katlyn Carter (Notre Dame Assistant Professor History).
