Associate Director of Faculty Fellowship, Appointments, and Outreach

Kristian Olsen is Associate Director of Faculty Fellowship, Appointments, and Outreach at the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study. Prior to joining the Institute in 2018, he worked at Notre Dame’s Nanovic Institute for European Studies, earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and worked as a postdoctoral instructor and researcher at the University of New Hampshire. He has published several articles on contemporary ethical theory and has taught numerous courses on ethics, philosophy of religion, and logic. When he’s not working at the Institute or reading philosophy, Kristian enjoys playing the piano, swimming, and running. According to his wife, he also enjoys writing sentences with too many parentheses (but she's wrong).
