Alyson Chin

Alyson Chin
  • University of Notre Dame
  • 2020-2021, Undergraduate Research Fellow
  • Academic Concentration: Biology, Program of Liberal Studies

Alyson Chin is a member of the Class of 2023 from Brooklyn, New York. As someone equally drawn to life science and the humanities, she is studying Biology, is a part of the Program of Liberal Studies, and is a Glynn scholar. It was through seminars of the latter two programs that Alyson realized her love for close reading and analysis of old works. Before Notre Dame, she was very involved in the Biology Department and Research Program at the Bronx High School Science, researching the neurovascular system for two summers at Weill Cornell Medical College. Outside of academics, some of her favorite things to do are exploring the outdoors with her family, working out, and cooking with friends in Lyons Hall. Currently, Alyson is interested in the intersection of aging, social exclusion, and medical care and is super excited to be a part of the URF program this year.
