Brigid Harrington is a senior majoring in political science and FTT (Film, Television, and Theatre), with a minor in the Hesburgh Program in Public Service. She is a professional actor with credits including Jane Banks in Mary Poppins on Broadway, Koko in the Disney Channel animated television show Chuggington, and other national commercials, films, television shows, and regional theatre performances. Brigid’s arts education program, Broadway ArtsReach, enables her to provide arts education to communities and advocate for its importance through educational performances, fundraising, advocacy podcasts, and arts policy recommendations. In the spring of 2020, she participated in Notre Dame’s Washington Program where she studied in Washington D.C. and interned for Congressman Brendan Boyle on Capitol Hill. She has also interned for the Parliamentarian of the House of Representatives and is currently interning for Congressman Andy Kim in his D.C. office. On campus, Brigid is a member of the Sorin Scholars program and is engaged with ND Votes, Women in International Security, and FTT’s theatrical season.
