A member of Notre Dame's class of 2021, Will LaMarra is a student majoring in Classics and English. Captivated by questions of how difference is viewed in Greek and Latin literature, LaMarra is interested in approaching Classics through the lens of postcolonial theory. He is also interested in questions of Classical reception, particularly in the early modern period. In 2019, he contributed to the Monumenta Concilii Tridentini project at the Pontifical Gregorian University and worked in the Photographic Archives at the American Academy in Rome. During the 2019-2020 school year, LaMarra worked at the NDIAS under Dr. Yuliya Minets. He is currently researching conceptions of difference within Homer's Odyssey for his senior thesis.
