Apply Now to Participate in the Thom Browne Football Game Photo Shoot
Applications are now being accepted for participation in the 2022 Thom Browne football game and fashion photo shoot on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 on the South Quad.
All Notre Dame undergraduates are eligible to apply. Applications are due by September 25, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
A former GQ Designer of the Year and three-time winner of the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award, Thom Browne is known for his modern, innovative approach to design. Browne graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1988 with a business degree and launched his fashion brand in 2001. This year, he is serving as the Artist in Residence at the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study (NDIAS).
In conjunction with his October visit to the NDIAS as Artist in Residence, Browne and his team will be holding a special photo and video shoot on campus on the morning of October 26. The theme for the shoot will be a "pick-up football game” staged in front of the Rockne Memorial on South Quad. Thom Browne is looking for interested students who would like to participate as players or spectators (among a few other special roles) for the football game. For the shoot, all participating students would be outfitted in Thom Browne apparel and photographed by Thom Browne's content team.
Commitment
If selected, you will need to:
- Attend a pre-planning meeting and fitting on October 24 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Rockne Memorial prior to the shoot
- Attend the public Thom Browne discussion (with Michael Hainey) on Tuesday, October 25 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in Washington Hall
- Commit to participating in the pick-up football game photo shoot on Wednesday, October 26 at the Rockne Memorial from approximately 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
- Sign a waiver allowing your image to be used publicly and release of liability.
Benefits
Participants in the pick-up football game photo shoot will:
- Learn first-hand about marketing techniques of a major brand
- Be featured in a global press article showcasing imagery from the game
- Get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to produce an event of this scale
- Have opportunities to interact with Thom Browne and his team of fashion design and communications professionals
- Be allowed to post photos from the event on their social media platforms
- Be offered a special Thom Browne gift.
Expectations
Throughout the photo shoot, participating students will be expected to:
- Be photographed in Thom Browne apparel
- Have fun, be creative
- Be prepared for cooler temperatures (unless weather is severe, the photo shoot will be outside).
