Shana Scogin is a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame. Her research areas are comparative politics, methodology, and theory, with a particular focus in South Asia. Her interests include the environment and disasters, community mobilization, governance, public goods, and democratic citizenship. She employs both quantitative and qualitative methods. Her dissertation focuses on the politics of post-disaster reconstruction through a subnational design in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal.
