Hailing from Redlands, California, Christian Morrison is a junior pursuing majors in classics and economics and a minor in digital marketing. He is also a proud Balfour-Hesburgh Scholar.  Dedicated to utilizing data from the ancient world to fashion solutions with tangible impacts for the modern, he is interested in researching how the introduction of currency into the society of the ancient Greeks affected their GDP development. In addition to working at the NDIAS, Christian is working with the Notre Dame Classics Department to update the Beginning Latin 1 and 2 online testing infrastructures on Canvas and construct a database of Helen of Troy images for research purposes. He has also been privileged to serve as a marketing intern for Operation BBQ Relief and to work on the Chiron Project for the Paideia Institute as an intern. In his free time, he enjoys working on and collaboratively leading SIBC marketing/STEM projects; helping driven, underprivileged high school students attain their dreams of attending college through Matriculate; volunteering at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart; and planning events to help bolster an appreciation for the classics as the president of Classics Club.
