Tianle Zhang is a junior researching the problematics of a critical theory of subjectivity by drawing upon German idealism, Marxist theory, and literary criticism, with the goal of pursuing these topics in graduate school. In the Spring of his sophomore year, he co-founded SolidarityND, Notre Dame's first democratic socialist student organization. As co-president, he leads reading groups, biweekly meetings, and organizes outreach events. Tianle is from South Bend and enjoys going to the basement shows of local bands and playing with his baby brother Levi.
